Meet Melanie, head florist & founder of Floral Expressions
My floristry journey started 30 year ago at Lockwood Florist in Rotherham, where I went in for work experience and it all started from there.
From 1994-2004 I worked at different florist shops in the local Rotherham area, gaining knowledge and techniques from senior members of staff to gain as much experience as possible. This included; Lockwoods Rotherham, Blossom Trail Wickersley, Limelands’s Florist and Floral Design in Meadowhall shopping centre.
I took a short break to have my child, but would help out at busy periods where ever possible.
Award-winning floristry
My love for floristry was definitely here to stay when I took over an established florist shop in the main entrance of Rotherham Hospital in 2018, where I have built on what was there and improved it to where we are today. I am so proud that Floral Expressions has won several prestigious awards over the past few years including;
